Thanks for the update, I had heard he was in hospital but didn't know he had passed away. _________________ Sheldon: What part of an inverse tangent approaching an asymptote don't you understand? |

| Angela's Ashes was an excellent book. Although it was a grim read he also had a great sense of humour and storytelling skill. |

| Didn't know he had died. I have read all three books in the series, Angelas's Ashes, 'Tis and Teacher Man. Anglela's Ashes was the best. |

It is sad.
I enjoyed angela's ashes (like all horrible childhood books) but i didn't finish Teacher man. It's still in my to read pile but there are so many other books to read. |

| Yes I enjoyed Tis too. Teacher man sadly didn't live up to the other two. |

| I didn't know either. I am like all of you loved Angelas Ashes but struggles with Teacher man. |

Hadn't realised he'd passed away. Have read both Angela's Ashes and Tis mainly because my father came from Ireland. Could identify very well with Angela's Ashes. |

I agree, Angela's Ashes was definitely the best. I also felt a little bit let down by Teacher Man, it didn't seem to have the same magic as the first two. Apparently his brother wrote one too but I haven't read it.
Very sad that he has passed away. My old neighbour grew up with him in Ireland and said he was a cheeky chappy! _________________ Super keen teaching machine! |
