Sorry you're not feeling too happy at teh moment Jogon.
My OH had a chat about having somehting to look forwsrd to as a way of coping with the mundane. It's going to be my mission tonight!
Sorry your asthma isn't good either, hopefully it'll start to get better. It's going to be colder this week, does that help?

Hi everyone.

Thanks for the lovely comments.

Have headache and not feeling too good today Sad  Feel like I'm totally alone at school, despite being in a team of 7 other teachers!

Thanks so much everyone!

I'm just going to do the minimum, or try to anyway!  Leading a staff meeting on Weds, so need to prepare well for that, but everything else can wait or not be totally perfect!

I know what you mean about feeling alone in a team. I feel really down today for no apparent reason, other than my class regressing right back to where they were at the beginning of term. I think it's the darkness, I hate it.
i'm drowning in a sea of things to do and making lists of lists, it's getting ridiculous.
Roll on the summer!!

Sorry to read about your troubles jog on - I think its important you do keep coming on here and talking to us all, you need to offload at times and it is hard putting all the stresses and strains onto family & friends.

I work in a close team of 5 and often feel like i'm out of it! Didn't barely speak to anyone today literally other than a child beacuse the job is so consuming, I just didn't have chance because of work demands. What I mean is... we all go through it & know how demanding and consuming it is. Feel free to rant and talk.

Hope you feel better soon. x

Hope you are soon feeling more positive Jog on and Movingonup. As others have said, it's a difficut time of year anyway, what with the nights setting in early and hardly any daylight. Just try to do the minimum to get by at work until you are feeling more able to cope with things.

Be kind to yourself JO. Take whatever shortcuts you need until you feel stronger.

Hope today's been better for you Movingonup.

Lots of people seem 'down' at the moment - I'm sure the change of hour doesn't help.

Only just caught up with this, jogon.  Hope this week improves for you.  Try to think positively if you can.  I hate the way our job often makes really good committed teachers feel like they're not good enough - think we all suffer from self-doubt at times.  Make rest and relaxation a priority, because you'll be no good to your children if you're ill.  Don't feel guilty about having good quality time off, and take any support that's offered.

Ended up crying at school today.  Decisions have been made which affect me and class without me being informed.  Feel isolated!

Sad

Oh, jog_on, that's just rubbish.  Don't know what to say except we're all here for you.   I've found some recipes for you too and have the spelling CD with me tonight.

Hey, sign up on the 'secret santa sign up thread' and you'll get JP buying you a Christmas pressie!
