I just wanted to say thanks for this idea. I will be trying it out with my class and can see lots of great uses for this:

Pre-prepared questions for guided reading sessions.
Discussion of topics in all subjects (especially) to involve the reluctant speakers.
Shared book reviews by guided reading groups.

I will try to remember to let you know how the children get on with it.

Used these for the first time today with a class (well ICT club actually). After the children got over the initial fuss of 'someones deleted my work' it actually worked very well - we are using it as a record / journal of what we have been doing in the club.
