If you go on to the Sharing Good Practice section and scroll down then there is a contents edition of the newsletter and an index. I think that they were done in June so you would have to scan through the more recent editions. There won't be any for a bit though so you've got time to catch up!
It is worth just flicking through as there are so many great ideas there.

I've really enjoyed reading through this thread and trying the links.  I'm going to use Google Earth, bubble.us, Prezi, more YouTube clips (I've used Zamzar successfully to take these into school in a format that will play), Wordle and try some animations (I've just bought digital cameras, Gorillapods and Revelation Sight and Sound).

I am hoping none of the above will be blocked by County (they block everything!!)  I know we can get Google Earth but I want to put it on the system/network so it's on all computers.  I plan to use bubble as whole class mindmapping but would also like the kids to have a go on their own.  The same with Prezi, I can use it as a whole class presentation tool but I want my Year 6s to have a go at using it instead of Powerpoint.  Do I let the children create their own user accounts with their school email address?  Do you create one school account, if so can everyone log into it at the same time?

Currently Wordle is not blocked but I guess that's because they haven't spotted it yet!

Thanks for any practical advice on how you use these programmes with a class.

I've created a googlemail account for myself (strictly for work) and then when i need to sign up kids with an email account i use this account with +1, +2, +3 etc for each child.
Then any correspondence comes back to the 'mother' account I also make the password for each account the same

works for me... and the kids ;o)
This way they don't really have an account at all

Our school has one Prezi account - children can click on their individual projects when they log on. I find it easier with one log on rather than many.

Children in Year 5 and 6 have individual bubbl.us accounts using their school email addresses. Year 3 and 4 have class accounts for group work.

Nice to see this has become a sticky!

Thank you ebd and bev.

I'm really excited about trying out the new ideas!  Developing more creative embedded ICT activities and ensuring skills progression is my Leadership Pathways whole school project, this thread has been really useful.  Thank you to all who are contributing.

Found this via twitter today. Would work really well on an IWB, remarkably addictive.
