Am stuck!

Was going to do the Spirals transition unit and still am but it's quite heavy going for someone like me who is hopeless!

Quite fancy some of the data ideas mentioned below but need some further ideas if anyone has any. We are due for an Ofsted visit so desperately need to keep things ticking over.

Theme Park Maths - free download from the resources side of this site always kept mine going for at least 2 or 3 weeks.

Last year I did some BIDMAS with my year sixes and also extended their algebra knowledge. They really enjoyed the algebra stuff.

Night Garden

We are doing a lot of themed maths linked to other areas. This week they are planning a trip to London from NZ. They need to exchange money, plan and cost the week by a certain criteria.

Thank you. I'm trying to link the the Olympics and Euro 2012 as muhc as possible. Thinking we may do something on averages or graphs / data linked to qualifying stages of football.

We did Theme Park Maths before the holidays - in 2 weeks we didn't even get the scale plans drawn out! Don't ask!!!

Going to google the BIDMAS idea as well.
