Do but am a bad teacher as have nothing teacher related at all.
Wotton, it is a site where you make boards up of things you are interested in. There are some great ideas. I have used it to let my SIL know ideas of how I want her to do the pictures for my wedding. |

I've just started and have 2 boards which are totally school related. Haven't found as much as Poppychick but then I only started this week. 
It's an easy way to save links and ideas. |

Not like a forum.
A collection of other people's links so if you follow people with similar tastes & interests you get some inspiring ideas. Have to request an invite - it comes the next day. I'm hooked. I have one teacher board - the rest pure girls indulgences  )

IC - you see a site you like and you pin it to one of your boards you have created. In my fave bar at the top of the screen on mine it says pin it.
One pinterest you can repin a site you like. If you click it once it will take you to an enlarged pic of what you are pinning and ou can see what board it has come from adn the pinner. If you click it again it takes you to the actual website. It took me ages to get head around it but love it now! |

It really is addictive. I look at people who have repinned any of my pins and check out their boards. That always leads me onto even more boards and blog sites It really is dangerous but much cheaper than shopping

I have now set up an account, but don't know if it is under my twitter id (which I hoped for and linked to) or my real name. When I look at stuff it uses my real name. So far I have 4 empty boards and one with a pretty picture on!
I can see how to do it, but I think it may be rather time consuming. And I am not convinced yet that I want to spend the time. I expect I will! |

It is really time consuming but only because one great site leads to another. I think it's a really good way of saving ideas. I love the visual aspect of it rather than just a list of bookmarks such as delicious. | ||

Have followed your new boards WTP
It is rapidly becoming my new obsession. I always try to go back to the original blog post to read the background but that inevitably leads me onto other posts that look interesting and I end up spending hours on it. I'm getting a lot more familiar with how American classrooms work

Right, I'm getting the hang of this and am following lots of you now - at least I think I am! I've set up two boards and linked one pic/site on each.
Have a problem though. When I first set up my account I had to click on some pics that I liked. I did this and as a result am getting lots of nice pics of weird and wonderful things, but I don't want them. Can't seem to unfollow these though - any ideas? |

I think that as you pin more things that you do want and follow more people, then the random ones will disappear and you will just get things that you are interested in. Have to say that I'm no expert tho.

I found some excellent ideas on there yesterday for place value. Still not got the full hand of it yet but loved some of the ideas I came across.
Know what you mean about the teacher's spending so much of their own money. I mean, we do a bit on bits & bobs but there seemed be be alot more over there unless they get it reimbursed. |

You should be able to just follow that board, then whenever they pin something new you will be told about it. I tend to repin the ideas I like best onto my own boards though. | ||
