Which foods do you dislike most?

For me it is baked beans, mushrooms, mushy peas, tomatoes ( but I don't mind them as a sauce or soup!) and blackcurrants- which make me gag just smelling them Rolling Eyes I'm sure there are others but these are the ones I hate most! I also hate anything with coffee- yak!

What about the rest of you?
smallholder

I don't like blackcurrants either- I find them too strong.
tui

Parsnips.  my mother used to boil them with carrots when i was a kid. I loved carrots but they were ruined by being mashed with the parsnips. Friends have tried to convert me to them by telling me to roast them . I admit roasted parsnips are better than boiled but with the myriad of vegetables to choose from  I still never choose to eat them.
jenny_pest

Brocolli, cabbage, cucumber, cauliflower -- Eeverything green except for peas & green beans!!

I am a very fussy eater though, I like what I like and don't often try new things! I hate the smell of coffee too, that can knock me sick straight away!
cofnchoc

Asparagus soup - but I like it fresh as a veg.
Very hot and spicy food - like spicy but wimp strength!
gorgeous51

OLIVES!!
kesunder

tui-my parents used to tell me and my sister that the roast parsnips were potatoes......we still roll that one out every time we have sunday dinner with them!!!
smallholder

Parsnips are one of my favourites!
tui

lots of people have told me they really love parsnips! but i have given up trying to like them.
jaybee baybee

I love parsnips and blackcurrants!!

I HATE blue cheese and goats cheese - just the smell is enough to make me gag!
whoa there pickle

Pineapple. I hate the taste of it. And baked beans. And mushy rice.
tui

It's funny how some fruit and vegeetable are either love or hate.  I really love pineapple  WTP.
Neither of my children will eat asparagus but i absolutely love it lightly steamed with a bit of salt.
mugsie

I hate olives, pears and rice pudding.
fccwidow

My list is very long! But cooked veg (I eat all bar potatoes raw), baked beans, bananas, pears, meat with fat or bones on/in! .... Smile
jaybee baybee

I dislike any milk based puddings - rice pudding, custards etc.
fccwidow

fccwidow

chatty_teacher

fishy fish (so not fish cakes, tuna and prawns in sauce), bulgar wheat, smelly cheese!
mugsie

tapioca bleuuurrrgghhh
madphil

Tapioca - yum yum!

Leeks, smoked salmon, fish that look back at you when you are eating them!

Nutty says there is quite a lot I would avoid but if its put in front of me I'll eat it anyway.....!
jaybee baybee

tapioca - fits into that dreadful milk pudding category, URGH!!!
jaybee baybee

oh, and porridge too - horrible stuff!
cornflake girl

I hate - blackcurrants, blackberries, brussel sprouts, beetroot, parsnips, mustard, tomato sauce and pickle sauces of any kind.
posingpoodle

I DETEST carrots (cooked), butternut squash, sweet potato and parsnip. They are all sweet and mushy- very, very wrong! Even the thought of them makes me feel queasy.
shetland-kat

Fish that is strong or smells is off!!! Belive me.  Its not fresh - although theyll try to tell you it is.  Coming from Shetland - its off.
Fish should have no smell and definitely should NOT ever taste strong.

I hate pate, hate hate hate it. I also dislike celery.

MadPhil - i love smoked salmon!!! But i wont try to persuade you otherwise! Smile
magpie nic

I love celery- one of my fave foods!!
mugsie

octopus  - yeuck disgusting
pink_monkey

Mushrooms!
wotsitagain

Interesting...lots of your hates are things I love: blackcurrants, houmous, smoked salmon, mushrooms, olives...but When I was younger, I didn't like them.

Rhubarb is my big hate, just writing about it now makes me feel like gagging. Yuk yuk and double yuk.
Another thing is cooked baking apples.  Wotsit4 did baked apples for her first cooking at school and I was nearly ill - it is a texture thing.  Being a good mum I had to try but as soon as she was looking the other way, that baked apple disappeared, and not into me!
cherryblossom

I am struggling to think of anything i really hate...
badly perpared food
Venus

I can't stand natural yogurt, blue cheese or any other strong ones, hate the texture and smell, love mozzarella any way and most mild ones when melted. I love all of the above listed as hates though.
posingpoodle

I hate apples. Vile.
mugsie

bscaca

Kippers and liver!
alaun

Tomatoes (raw) and anchovies YUK! Crying or Very sad
chatty_teacher

anchovies, celeriac, fennel, liqourice, liver, kidneys, eggs (plain not in baking) capers
JD1970

liqourice or anything to with it - should be banned in my opinion
Sniggle

Tomatoes - not in any form so not keen on spag bol etc
Celery - can't stand the smell of it either. ewwwwwwwww
Cheese - I can just about eat very mild cheese (the lesser the flavour the better!!)
olives - disgusting things
sausages - don't like the texture
black pudding - I'm not vegetarian but it's made from blood and that's just wrong!!
tripe - omg that stuff LOOKS disgusting
yoghurt - can have the odd flavoured one but never plain

Will keep thinking and adding!
Rainbow_Bright

Prawns.
Cauliflower.
Anything strawberry flavoured which isn't a fresh strawberry  (jam, ice cream, yoghurt etc - yuk!)
Avocados (taste like soap!!)
Liver.
Cheese and Onion flavour crisps.

BUT I LOVE CHEESE.  Rarely are there fewer than 3 types of cheese in our fridge.   And I love olives too.

hehe...  In Poland they make a soup called Flaki which is a bit like Oxtail but with bits of tripe in it.  It's actually really tasty as long as you don't worry about eating a cow's stomach!   (They sell it vacuum packed on the meat counters in the supermarket too Wink )

I like black pudding too.   And as a child, one of my favourite foods was Mr Brain's faggots.  Never had a clue what was in them but they were delicious!!!  Must be the farmer's blood in me...
happy face

I like most food but dislike cucumber.  And baked beans.

Up until recently I hated peas with a passion - would send food back if 'pea juice' had touched it, however since getting pregnant I have had a craving for them - fresh, raw, cooked, still frozen - my family are amazed.  We even grew some in our tiny garden this summer so I could have some on hand to pick at.

Wonder if I'll still like them after baby is here!
squiggle7

I don't like chicken, yuk!
Rainbow_Bright

Crikey, squiggle, that'd be half my meals done for!!   Especially curry...mmm....never as a good with lamb.
squiggle7

I know, OH gets annoyed as it's his favourite. Tend to eat mainly vegetarian as I'm not really a massive fan of any meat but chicken just takes the biscuit.
Rainbow_Bright

God, I love meat!  I do eat a lot of veggie things too but then I absolutely love a good rare steak or roast chicken.  Especially the crispy skin on the chicken!  Chef's treats!
cuckoo

Butter, margarine, kidneys and cooked carrots.
