As it is clear to me that APP is not a place from which to write their targets ( too broad) does anyone else have a bank of targets that they use? Any good websites? Thanksxxx

Ours came from the Lancs site to start with, but we're now dredging them from the Nat strat site (eg for writing - picking out the relevant step from steps to learning, which involves much clicking and waiting as the website moves across one term per click - so to collect enough for a whole school's worth, you need to click about twenty times). Maths ones are from relevant units' 'I can' statements (though the units change more often than the targets which are half termly). Reading ones are broader, from end of year objectives. The whole business takes hours and hours and is less personalised than what I did before, but who cares?

I used the Lancs site last year. Have things moved on since then, or do you think they are still valid?

Think they're still valid - just that we had problems with the last half-term's targets because they were end of year targets and we were expecting them to meet them after less than half a term. Which was a bit tricky. (We'd only started doing curricular targets as a whole school half way through the year, so hadn't realised it would be an issue - seems obvious now.) Also, we have a high resolution telescope focused on us at the moment, and the tiniest glitches in targets (like one of the Lancs reading targets where yr 4 and yr 5 have the same target - because it's a woolly one) get picked up and thrown back at us, so we're a bit jumpy.

Have also used some from Peterborough. Generally if it's near the beginning of the year, it may be best to track back to the previous year.
