What do you think? We have friends staying this weekend and am cooking on Sunday, I cook every night but the people who are staying are proper gourmet buffs, so want to get it right, what do you think? starter - halloumi and cous cous stuffed peppers, main - beef bourgionon (sp!) and green veg, prob long stem broccolli and dessert, indiv choc mousses?
The main and dessert am fine with, not sure of starter really, know the bloke staying isn't a fan of goats cheese so that went my posh starer out of the window!

It all sounds yummy to me. If you are unsure of the starter - my favourite is red peppers, cut in half and then put 2 quarters of tomatoes in, along with one anchovy each and sprinkle over some slithers of garlic and fresh basil - pour on olive oil - in oven for about 30 - 40 mins. Easy and absolutely delicious with some crusty bread.

Meal went v well! I enjoyed spending the time doing it, did send them all to the pub thuogh otherwise they'd have all annoyed me while I was cooking! Put it this way our guests took photos of the pie and dessert! Bless they obviously don't go out often!

Have they been back since? That's the true test of success.
