What do you think the hardest thng to cook is?

Embarassed Don't laugh, but for me it is boiled eggs. So we almost never have them, yet I used to love them as a child.

Omelette - I can make wonderful scrambled eggs but can't get to grips with omelettes, but love them!

I used to make lots of meringues and pavlovas years ago when I had an electric oven.  Since I switched to gas (which I much prefer for most things) I've never had any success with them.  Just can't seem to get them crisp enough on the outside.

Omlette's easy, but it will turn to scrambled eggs if you insist on stirring it all the time.
Heat the pan, pour in the eggs and stir until some bits of egg start to set. THEN STOP STIRRING. Keep the heat low and let it do its thing.

I have taken to doing large joints of meat...well any joint incl chicken in my slow cooker. I think it is too much like hard work doing it the traditional way. The juice makes lovely gravy too.

I have been thinking about getting a slow cooker but my kitchen is too small to put it in!

I can't cook poached eggs like they do on tele i.e. by dropping eggs into swirling, boiling water.  They never come out 'fluffy' like they do on TV!

I've cracked poached eggs!!!!!!!!!!!

Tried all the tips about swirling the water, adding vinegar, not adding salt and their all pants.

All you need is REALLY fresh eggs. Since getting my own hens poached eggs have been a piece of cake!

I can't do (soft) boiled eggs either, but luckily for me my lovely hubby can - I can't wait til I've had this baby and can have dippy eggs and soldiers for breakfast.
