What do you do for school..........................packed lunch or school dinners? I tend to have school dinners as ours are quite good, if you are a packed lunch person what do you take?

we don't have school dinners here. i usually take leftover dinner and make sure i have enough when I cook. Sometimes I cook up some lentils and veges and have that on a sandwich with salad.
we have a microwave in the staff room so most people heat up food. i can leave things in the fridge as well which makes it easy.
in winter I often have soup. flatbreads are good, or pita bread. I put a thin layer of hummus, grated carrot, lettuce and tomato and roll up. or put in pockert for pita bread.
one more day till holidays!

I am full of good intentions, but all too often end up with a cheese and marmite sandwich - or worse, buying one on the way to school!
I once knew a teacher who would make a half term's worth of filled rolls, freeze them and take one out each day.

I used to do a mix of ready meals, soup or sarni from local shop. But since Sept every lunch has been one of my home-made meals from the freezer with either a whole meal pitta or half a jaket spud. I've even inspsired another ready-meal queen to do the same.

I'm going to have a bit of both this week, quite a fussy eater and can't be bothered to cook at night after school as its just me. So i'm trying to get some actual warm food inside me this week in the form of school dinners!
My packed lunch is usually a sandwich, yoghurt, fruit and maybe crisps all with water. Hot exciting!!
