U1 - U2

I am due to move up to U2 at Christmas owing to maternity leave. I did not think I could move up in the middle of a year! As far as I can make out this is just a straight forward progression without any evidence etc - having met 2 successful performance management reviews. Is anyone able to clarify this position for me?

Maternity leave shouldn't make any difference to your progression. I put someone up last year who was on mat leave at the time.

I am moving gup this year in Dec as well. Spent most of last year in maternity leave too.

I had 2 years off and returned to a different school as could not negotiate flexible working hours that suited both parties!

I am also due to move up at the end of this school year but I have also been on maternity leave. Do you have to provide any evidence to progress to U2???

No paper work like Threshold 1. There are elements you have to meet but that is proved through observations and performance management.
