TrackingCan I please ask:
1) How often do you 'level' children in reading, writing and maths?
2) How do you find these levels? (test, APP, guess work(!))
Thanks just intrigued as to others do it

We assess termly for all three, (December April and July. )
We use the criterion scale for writing and our own test materials for Reading and maths.

Termly for reading and Maths, half-termly for Writing. We use QCA tests for reading and Maths, and criterion scale for Writing, alternating fiction and non-fiction pieces.

Grey engine - do use QCA tests termly?
We are happy with our assessment for writing but not for maths and English. Although we're introducing APP I'm still unsure if we should be making summative assessments of all children termly for the tracker. Not sure how though?
