The Number DevilI seem to be having a reading weekend! I finished The Reader yesterday and then started the Number Devil which I finished this afternoon! It was fabulous!!! I have to admit to loving Maths! The book, aimed at children, explains some quite complicated maths theory but it's easily understood!!
Well recommended! *(well if you like Maths!!)

i got this out of the library after seeing your post. It is great. I have only read 3 chapters but i am enjoying it. I have 5 year olds in my class so I won't be able to use it with them. I love teaching maths though and numbers are fun. It is great to be able to do tricks with them. Andrew Jeffrey is inpiring as well.
fibonacci's cows is another maths book for kids. Can't remember the author though.
Thanks for the recommendation.

mathbyjoe has maths articles mixed in with other topics he is interested in. near the bottom of the page is one about multiplying 11s numbers- the first time i had heard of it. 111x111 etc. they are very readable although there are a lot it is usually easy to tell what each one is about by the title.
