Stomach cramps....

Sorry about the details of bodily functions....

I've been suffering stomach cramps since Monday  Sad
It ws really bad Monday but put it down to period pains -had a bath and hot water bottle and it improved but has been bad on and off since. Went to bad last night in pain and same this morning.
It's low cramping pains. They come and go so will be bad for a 5 minutes then ease off for a few hours but still ache.
I've got a bit of wind but toilet visits are normal... any idea what this is? Or how to cure it?
kesunder

is it one side of your stomach or all over?
kesunder

sorry-should've said here's some sympathy and a big hug!!!
i have had no end of stomach problems over the last couple of years.

All over low down. The sought of pain I get when I've eaten something that's upset my stomach (before a mad dash to the loo) lol

sounds horrible - I had something similar a while back when I'd eaten some dodgy bacon.  Had cramps for a few days and then was violently sick for 24 hours.  Hope yours doesn't end that way.  Is it worth a call to NHS direct?

Greyengine - It does feel like that sort of food poisioning feeling but thought I would have been ill by now but obviously that's not alwys the case.
I may give them a ring - they'll probably tell me to go to the doctor. Also thinking might try a mild laxative as although I'm going to the loo it might help flush out anything dodgy.

Hope you feel better soon. Have you got any peppermint tea you can drink to try to ease it?
kesunder

i had a heatable wheat bag that helped.

Think food poisoning can take a few days to work its way through your system.

Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly.  I had something similar a few years ago when my son had had a stomach upset.  The Dr told me that sometimes your body decides to hang onto the bacteria and try and fight them instead of getting rid in the normal way.  Very uncomfortable but it does end.

Do hope your feeling better today. Would hate you to feel unwell for the whole of half term.
