Should I feel guilty?

It's a Sunday and we are having Macaroni Cheese at request of daughter. Tempted to make a yorkshire pudding to go with it! Age thing I think, but feel should have made a roast.

Don't feel guilty - macaroni cheese is great on a cold, windy autumn day.
We've just gone the other way and started having Sunday roasts after years of not bothering.

Not at all!   I very rarely cook a roast!
But then, I don't even cook turkey at Christmas!   And I shocked my friend earlier when I told her there was unlikely to be a Christmas tree in my house this year due to the forthcoming house move.

Still, even though I'm fairly non-conformist, I'm not sure about it being an age thing, my Mum (mid 50s) doesn't tend to bother with a roast very often either since it's just her and my Dad at home.

Perhaps we're just idle!!!!!   Very Happy

PS  Macaroni cheese sounds yummy btw!

If you can't be self indulgent on a day like today, I don't know when you can.  Enjoy!

We never have roast in my house cos I'm vegetarian. I think you'll find a lot of people don't eat the traditional fayre on a Sunday anymore.

I sometimes do a roast but today put a beef stew in slow cooker as had planning to do. I am out tonight so didn't want to leave lots of washing up for OH to do as didn't fancy coming home at midnight and facing that because he doesn't "do" pans!

We're not cooking (oven is broken though!!!) and having a Chinese take away instead.
Chilli Queen

We're having home made Indian kebabs in pitta breads with salad.

You have all stopped me feeling guilty, thank you, and it was yummy so a good choice!

We had curried pumpkin soup with homemade bread. We try to make Sunday the day when we all sit down together round the table, even if Mr C is working. Don't often have a roast; perhaps one a month.

My OH always does curry and trimmings on Sunday! His Mum was from Singapore so he uses all the spices!
Lovely to sit down to a meal someone else has cooked!!

Lucky you - sounds delicious!

It is! He does a chicken curry with carrots and potatoes and also a soy fried lamb with lovely savoury onions............ bliss!!
