Yes...rhubarb is the one thing on the smallholding that my fluffy bunnies don't eat! Me I love it.
Did you know folks that if you lighlty poach some rhubarb with a bunch of the herb sweet cicely you don't need to add sugar. Its a natural sweetner.

Gosh, that must be sweet then! I did some rhubarb in microwave yesterday and it took loads of sugar and I still reckon it's not sweet enough!! OH doesn't like it too sweet, but it's definitely not that!!!

Maybe if you had a sweet tooth you might want to add a little, but I don't so its ok for me. If you grow and use rhubarb its definitely worth growing sweet cicely as well because then it cuts down on the sugar you will use. Nature is very clever, the sweet cicely comes out just as the rhubarb is ready.

Love the sound of the rhubarb and custard cake. Will maybe try that this weekend if our friends come over. On 2nd thoughts might just make it earlier and then I can eat it all!

I love rhubarb too however ours isn't ready yet but when it is I'll definitely be giving these recipes a try.
