New ForumsHello
Great to see so many of you sign up on the first day! As you are the ones using the site what forums would you like to see on the site? Are the ones we have already okay?
Give your feedback here.

How about a section where we just post links, no conversation just links- perhaps a thread per subject.

Great idea, will work on that now!

There we go, what does everyone think?
Do we still need the Recommend forum now? Let me know

Thanks Craig- you should ask for a job sorting the TES boards out!!

you may have already done so, but what about a 'Professional Development' one please?

Is this for links or are you thinking an actual forum?

It could be that as well as individual subject links pages, you will need individual subject forums, for example SEN. Your forum is here to stay Craig and not tempory like you first thought and only going to get bigger
Early days yet I know but just sharing a thought. I know we could all use the generally but with how fast, chatty, friendly and helpful everyone is posts could soon get lost....

What about a moaning forum and counter that with a reasons to be cheerful forum? Not just about teaching or school, but just life in general.
Does us all good to let off steam from time to time!

How about an off-topic forum, for just non work related chat!

There is the Opinion forum which is in the chill out bit that can be used for off topic chat:)

Doh, didn't see that! I think I was tuned to ignored anything entitled Opinion/Personal as it wasn't exactly a nice place over on TES!

Don't worry I don't think you are the only one to feel that at all:)

What about a 'good read' forum. I used to like looking at the book club in the other place and picked up some good books after reading reviews/discussions.

The forum I miss is NQTs.
Everything else is fab though
I agree about the 'opinion' forum - sounds scary - I'd be more likely to do my off topic stuff in somewhere called The Staffroom, or The Coffee Lounge or something.

Could we have a success criteria forum?
Maths is really hard to ceate success criteria for and many of us are being asked to do this for every lesson. I envisage that we could have threads entitled say Y5 unit 1 learning out comes etc and we could then post and share the criteria we have created and they could build up over the year.

First of all, I really like this forum. It seems fast and easy, like the TES used to be. Thanks Craig!
I don't know if anyone would be interested in an SMT forum? I miss it and the old one has just about died, so I'm wondering if all the SMT people need a new home?

Not for me - far happier getting advice and help from real people

Agreed mp, but it was a place to mull over ideas in an anonymous way, when you might not want to talk to a SIP about it, or go to the union. Isn't there a place for that?
