Sorry, I put that question in the wrong forum... Anyways here is an situation situation.....
"I have heard that if an NQT does 4 terms of supply teaching then they have to secure themselves with a full time post to complete their NQT year or can only work in the private sector until they get a full time post. Therefore it is illegal for them to work in state schools. But I know of a supply teacher (and I am asking this question on behalf of her) who has probably done supply for 2/3 years and still not done their NQT and has been told by the education authority that she is not allowed to do supply teaching (but because she can't get a job she is still doing supply).
However, if one ignores this and continues to do supply teaching then what are the consequences? Can their teaching qualifications be taken off them?"
