Low fat low calorie snack ideas pleaseHelp, I am in urgent need of help!
The medication I am on is making me VERY hungry for most of the day. Spoke to GP and he said it is a common side effect, which is all well and good but I already have lot of excess weight to lose! I have tried ignoring the hunger but I feel sick if I do not eat. I now have carrot sticks and celery in the fridge all the time but am getting bored- please help me with some interesting and low fat low calorie ideas please.
I need to start losing weight not putting even more on- HELP!!!

I had pumpkin seeds today and they are quite filling. A 1/3 of a cup =94 cals and only 4g of fat.

rice cakes in different flavours are quite filling, but only bearable in moderation.
quite like oat crackers with low fat spreads - Sainsburys do a low fat garlic roule which is quite tasty or mushroom pate
In France recently, got a taste for Roquefort cheese, which I know isn't low fat, but you only need a little of it to add flavour to things as it's very strong.

popcorn - pop your own! takes ages to eat and you don't need lots of flavouring. Personally i like salt on mine, but you could add what you want.

Slice up a banana and freeze, just get one out and suck. It is like banana ice cream
Sugar free jellies are good especially with fruit and fat free yogurt
Can of chickpeas blended with lemon juice and black pepper/garlic/chilli makes a nice dip for your carrot sticks
A tin of tomatoes blended with a bunch of coriander, salt and pepper makes another interesting dip
Blend a tub of cottage cheese with garlic/herbs etc for another dip
Raw mushrooms
All bran loaf
one cup of all bran
one cup of dried fruit
one cup of milk
one cup of sr flour
one cup of sugar
Soak the all bran with the milk for a couple of hours add the other ingredients and bake at about 150 until a skewer comes out clean. This is lovely if wrapped up for a day or two before eating. Really moist.
Spread some lauging cow low fat cheese onto celery

is there all bran in the loaf as well greenteaaddict?
sounds a good recipe. I am guessing 1 cup as everything else is. good to see no oil!

Apparently soup is the thing to fill you up and make you feel full.
So perhaps some low cal cup-a-soups?
I used to eat loads of virtually no calories jelly when I was slimming for my wedding, made me feel like I was eating something substantial in volume, would have about a third of a pint at a time.

For a lowish fat/calorie treat these are great:
Apricot Yoghurt Cookies
6oz plain flour
1tsp baking powder
1tsp ground cinnamon
3 oz rolled oats
3oz light muscovado sugar
4oz chopped dried apricots
1tbsp flaked hazelnuts or almonds
5oz natural yoghurt
3tbsp sunflower oil
Heat oven to 190C, Gas 5.
Mix tog flour, bp and cinnamon, stir in oats apricots and nuts.
Beat tog yoghurt and oil and stir into mix to make a firm dough. Add a little more yoghurt if necessary.
Roll into 16 small balls, place on baking sheet and flaten with a fork.
Sprinkle wih demerara sugar (if you want) and bake for 15-20 mins untiil firm and golden brown.
95calories per portion apparently and 2.66g fat. I'm usually a bit more generous with the cinnamon because I love it!!
