ks1 homework

we are reviewing how we do homework in KS1 and i wondered what other people do?
we have mymaths.co.uk and learning logs in KS2. Any great ideas for KS1?

Stick with reading and spelling and maybe some simple number work. They don't need more than that.

Both on my wavelength!!!! Not sure it's what our parents expect however......

some learning of maths facts could help them. Not written-oral- say addition to 5- use articles around the house to practise this and give them some ideas 2 forks amd 2 forks more- how many do we have?
Then do a check in school every 2/3 weeks on what they have been practising

I found these recently on TES and thought I might do something similar with my year 1s.

Why don't you have learning logs in KS1? They work really well for younger children too.

i had wondered about that. do you think they would get bored of Learning Logs by Y6 though?!?!?!?

The HT has said we do not need to give any homework at all until we have decided exactly what to do! He is sending out a letter saying 'KS1 homework is under review' - how long can i make this last???!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Our KS1 loved doing their learning logs.
