I'v shopped locallyI was in the local village today and needed a few bits, such as bread, meat etc.. and being quite busy and such I admit im s supermarket shopper. I do like local shops & try to get to them as often as permitting but you know what It can be like.... anyway, i bought bread from the bakers, meat from the butchers and a book from bookshop!
There are some hidden gems from shopping locally, i bought some Irish black & white pudding for my Sunday fry up tomorrow!

You can't beat meat from a butchers instead of a supermarket - so much better quality and a lot less food miles. I live in a market town and veg from the stalls is cheaper, tastier and in season - I love it.
Do you think you'll shop that way again?

Definatly, I had the sausages this morning for breakfast & they were lovely. I felt like they were actual meat rather than just squished pink goo!! Really tasty & I feel full afterwards, they cooked really well too. I will buy locally again thats for sure!

Well done!
Its so nice isn't it. i'd love to always shop that way, but Tesco is so convenient during term time.
Home produced fruit, veg and eggs very soon though...

I try to support the local fruit and vege shop but i have to leave school early to get there in time. Getting to a farmer's market on the weekend is good when i get up in time or don't get hooked on here!
