How can I record audio onto a CD format please? We are creating 'audio books' for reading focus week - well that's the plan only it hadn't occurred to me to think 'how' to do this.
We have dictaphones in school but otherwise not sure how to record audio at all. Can anybody help please?
TIA

you need a digital recorder of some sort - there are basic ones on the computer, but you would need a microphone, or you can buy snazzy hand-held digital recoreders reasonably cheap these days. Maplin's or some such shop, or those great education catalogues....

easi-speak microphones from tts are the ones we've just bought. They look like ordinary microphones, but connect by usb (so you can wander round recording and then download). Very easy to use (the least able yr 3s can manage them fine) and good quality recordings.

Think they're what we have too. Our Nurture group use them and the kids love them. Very user friendly.

If you don't have separate digital recorders, recording short sound files using a microphone attached to your pc is straightforward. Use accessories> entertainment> sound recorder. They are saved as wav. files These can be incorporated into ppt books.

Was also going to suggest either easi-speak microphones or the sound recorder on the computer
