Elderberries?What can I do with them? (Apart from making wine - no point in that for me, and don't have the equipment.)
Have loads of blackberries too.

Ooh, that's great. There's loads of them growing down by the river. might have a go at some elderberry ice cream.

tog - blackberries freeze quite well if you can't use them all up straight away. Open freeze them on a tray for a couple of hours, then bag them up and they keep nice for ages in the freezer.

Mmm. I don't really bother with Elderberries now, apart from wine as I feel that unles you top and tail them they are too gritty ( and in my opinion life is too short for this!). In the past I have used them in jam or for an elderberry sauce instead of a cranberry sauce at xmas, but now I use red gooseberries instead.
