Data handling Year 3What do you do for data handling. I have from a p8 to a 2a and it seems to take them a while to grasp something. Want to engagae them Any ideas not sure if i cld link to a film or maybe x factor lol.

I always try to base it on science so that children can see the purpose. Very helpful for Sc1 skills too of course!

we set for literacy and maths so i dnt teach most of mine for maths so it would be tricky to do that.

however it hink their unit might me year 3 characteristics of materials

there is always the bag of jelly babies/smarties - hwo many of each colour, favourite flavour, children can generate their own questions - how many red and orange jelly babies etc.
Not very healthy schools but I usually give the chidlren toothpicks to touch the sweets with and reward everyone with one at hometime - I know we shouldn't but it does motivate many
