chickachicka boomboom

i bought this book recently. it has a cd with it with Ray Charles reciting the rhyme. My class of 5 year olds think it is hilarious. they just about roll around on the floor with laughter! I think it is the american accent and his gravelly voice! there are several versions on the cd but they keep asking for the funny man one!
i don't know if it will help them learn their letters but it is fun! Very Happy

Don't know this one - but doesn't take much for the rolling around with laughter - 5 yr olds seem to have a strange sense of humour don't they? Mine go into hysterics about the most unexpected things.

that is true, and it is hard to predict which poems or songs will catch their attention. One year it will be different from the next. my classes all love rhyme and catchy beat and can remember complicated lyrics even when they don't recognise 'the' or 'me' ! Very Happy
