How funky!!

I love 1, 3, 7 and especially 13- that one would solve my book storage problems!!

These are fun aren't they? I don't have any thing as wacky but I do have a fair number of book cases and sets of shelves - 13 . Ooh that sounds unlucky - perhaps I'd better buy another! I'm on the lookout for another revolving one. I got one from a car boot a while back for £30 - a bargain. Saw one in an antique shop the other week - the guy wanted £450 for it!

I love the staircase one, though it makes me feel a bit dizzy!  And th 'Escher' style one at the top is fantastic but how do you get in the middle?!
jenny_pest

If only I had enough books to fill one of those!!

I think mine would make a good attempt!

I think they are so cool! I have always liked these ones:

Mine, I'm afraid to say are boring ones from Ikea...but I have just bought this for my hallway! I love it!

That looks fun. I have a row of pigs bottoms with hooks in in my hallway!

I like that nicola. I have a row of metal snails I got from the Pier- I miss the Pier Sad
nicolagraham

I agree magpie- I used to like the Pier in the Metrocentre. We got some fab cocktail stirrers with all sorts of animals on the ends and they were FAB! Sadly after 1 too many drinks they have been smashed/lost and we only have 1 or 2 left! Sad

Really good link!  (Though me & my eldest had problems trying to work out how you get at the books in the figure of 8?)

I have a number of large bookcases in every bedroom, lounge and dining room. books overflow in the garage as well so i am attempting to corral them. When my mother stayed with me a few months ago, she expressed discomfort at having to sleep next to a brick and plank bookcase i have had since my student days. She feared being killed in an earthquake by flying bricks. Since i live in an earthquake zone that is shaken by dozens of small quakes each year her fear is not unfounded. I am attempting to rehouse the books in preparation to dismantling it!  Very Happy i end up reading the books instead of moving them.  Rolling Eyes

More bookshelves!

Another one! http://www.inhabitots.com/2009/07...igloo-is-a-book-lovers-dream-bed/

Some very interesting ideas - I may have to go for IKEA wall to ceiling cases as I've too many books for the space !
tui

book igloo is interesting idea but would be too dark for reading with out a light on in the day. I think i would have felt too enclosed as a child as well.
greyengine

Love the igloo - I think I would have really liked that as a child.
Also really liked the one with the built in nook for reading in.
nicolagraham

Would love the igloo bed/bookcases! How cosy!
jog_on

I love them!!!

When I move house...I probably wouldn't have room!!!  Sad

Night Garden

How cool! I want a stair case one. I tried to convince my OH when we planned our conversation to have one but he was not too keen.
I do love the equation one, very sleak and would so fit with my type of house design.
