Book shopping!Well I popped into town for some retail therapy and was flipping through my handbag when I came across 2 WH Smith voucher card things. Took them to the till and I had £30!!
They have a lot of buy 1 get 1 free or buy 1 get 1 half price at the moment so I bought:
Mystery Man by Bateman
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows
Mr Toppit by Charles Elton
Home by Marilynne Robinson
The Other Hand by Chris Cleave
The Broken Window by Jeffery Deaver
Candle Moth by R J Ellory
I also popped into Waterstones. They have an offer on. Spend over £10 and get Too Close To Home by Linwood Barclay for £3.49. I bought First stories for thinking by Robert Fischer and got the Barclay book too!!
Great bargains today and feeling very pleased with myself!!!

Wow - how lucky to find your WHSmith card! I've got Mystery Man to read and have already read the Guernsey book - it's really good! I like Jeffery Deaver and LInwood Barclay, so those should be a good selection of reads!

I know I'm behind with the Guernsey one but the format of it looks interesting. I didn't know it was set out in letters.
I really like Jeffrey Deaver too - his Lincoln Rhyme novels are great. I also read No Time for Goodbye not so long ago and enjoyed that one so thought I would give Too Close for Home a try.
I normally buy crime/thrillers but have ventured out a little today!
