Becta Self review - who has done it, is it worth it?

Ok, this has been on my action plan for the past 2 yrs now and still not completed so continue to fail!!  I have started, but felt totally overwhelmed by it and wanted leadership team involved, as felt I couldnt make accurate judgments etc and spending huge amounts of time and not getting anywhere.

Just wondered wehether I shoulkd be completing this on my own, or should I still be pushing for support from managment, or just totally scrap completing if full stop??

ICT is in a real state, not through want of tryoing to move it forwards, but its not literacy or numeracy .............  At the mo, just want to get rid of it as a massive headache!!

I managed to get my Head to go through it with me but we were quite lucky in that the LA ICT advisor comes into school to discuss its findings with myself (ICT manager) and the Head so I had to have her input.

I agree though that it is hard to do it wihtout SMT involvement - push for it.

Will do.  Have tried for the past 2 years, but am on verge of giving up.  Dont feel I have any support!!    Grrrrrrr!!
