We have decided to use this as the opportunity to teach in a different class - I am off to Yr R.  Have always been KS2 so am a little at a loss as to what to try.  Any help much appreciated, though clearly I will have a word with the regualr teachers before the big day  Wink Wish me luck Exclamation

Reception based stuff has some info in the SEALS booklet - mainly it is about circle times, reading a story about somebody being left out etc and talking about how we can make them happy and passing a smile around the circle kind of stuff etc - It is all about being a good friend and feelings - so lots about how I feel it nobody plays with me, how I feel if i am pushed over - I'll be doing my full planning for N/R this week so when I know some actual book titles etc I will let you know.

We always started anti-bullying week by finding out what the children think bullying is- they have some strange ideas, so we always got each class to think of a definition. We also drew around a child and used that outline to record in eg what qualities a good friend has, what qualities a bully has. We did acrostic poems, got children to draw what tehy think a bully looks like, made wooden spoon perfect friends. A good story is Something Else, cannot remember who by but great for loads of PHSCE stuff. Also the book Bully is great.
This is the first year I have not organised anti-bullying week in a school- I miss PSHCE Crying or Very sad

key stage 1 are taking a nursery rhyme or fairy tale and give them advice on their bullying, e.g. Cinderella etc
Key stage 2 are having a competition to design a cyber bullying wall paper for the ICT suite computers.
We are coming in in blue non uniform on Friday to show our support.
We are makign whole school paper chains out of their anti bullying week wishes for going round the display.

Any ideas for a whole school recpetion to year 6 assembly would be much appreciated?!
