I'm one too! I'm only on a maternity cover - 6 months full time and 6 months part time. I start part time after half term - am really going to miss being with my class on a Monday and Tuesday! Wink

It doesn't get any better trust me! Always feel glum until I'm back into the swing of things and that's 16 years later!

I feel like one as I've been out of teaching for over 20 years! In fact I feel as if I need to do my training all over again!

I'm finding it a bit overwhelming to be honest!

I did a few weeks supply last year with Y3 which helped a bit but I'm now doing long term supply cover for an SEN post. As I have children from years 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, and 10 I'm finding it really difficult to get my head around all the planning. Shocked

I'm really learning the National Curriculum as I go along and trying to kid everyone that I know what I'm doing! Rolling Eyes

The kids are lovely and I'm really enjoying the lessons but it's certainly not the doddle that I thought it would be!

Thank goodness for sites like this!

hi all, I'm one too. In post till Summer in a mixed class yr 3/4. Key stage 1 trained but had done yr 3 on placement. There are 3 yr 3/4 classes and 3 yr 5/6 classes so big school. It is great though as plan together which helps.

I am really enjoying this age group and have a great class bar a few! Still getting head round everything and there is so much that I still prob need to know but getting there slowly! x

I'm one too!!

I'm on long term supply - was only supposed to be Autumn term but now extended till Easter but no chance of it being extended further. At least I'll have 2 terms under my belt.

Thanks Gill for sending me the link to this forum. It's nice to recognise so many names from TES. I stopped going on there shortly after the new set up because I hated it.
