Here are some table top basic activities for independent work using the first six sounds in letters and sounds. They can be made into A3 and laminated and used several times or just be A4 paper based. I would always have wooden letters/magnetic letters or the same letters on cards so that the word could be built with these as well as filling them in on the sheets. For those who need them word cards for sorting and matching to the sheets would also be helpful.

Thanks smallholder. Recently arrived child in Y5 only speaks Arabic. This will help him as already have introduced him to the first 6 sounds. _________________ Yay!! Reached my 400th!! |

Thanks so much smallholder. Have been given 6 new arrivals with no spoken english to teach in 3 daily sessions. These will be useful when they return to their classes. _________________ Yay!! Reached my 400th!! |
