Obviously we don't have any new members, lol!

Perhaps we should all introduce ourselves here!?!

Hi,

I'm Jog_on.  I'm a Y4 teacher and responsible for Primary Languages in a large junior school.  I have also recently taken on role of supporting our Maths co-ordinator.  I love my job, but am finding it a strain at the moment!

I am married, no kids, two rabbits!   Laughing

I'm sweetpea,.   60 year old grandma with custody of 9 year old grandchild who has been home schooled since 2005.

I have 7 grown up children ages from 36 oldest to youngest 24.   I have 13 grandchildren and another on the way.

I do use the home education forums but I like this one and the one on TES as I've had some great ideas and help from there and here.

I am studying for a Law Degree on the OU.

Hello and welcome one and all

I'm Chelseagirly, addicted to this forum, Year 5 teacher,  aged 24 (for the second time), married with 3 offspring (boys aged 22, 21 and a girly wirly aged 16).  Absolutely adore my class this year - having a lovely time with them - hope it lasts!

And, as if you hadn't guessed, a stalwart Chelsea supporter (and have been since I was 9 before I get accused of jumping on any glory train!) - I love my boys in blue (so does my daughter - husband and No 1 son both support Spurs - can be fun in my house! No 2 son just hates football!)

And often known to post pure garbled nonsense!  Well, if often makes sense to me!

I currently cover PPA from nursery to Y6 in the school where I have worked for about 9 years. Now work 0.5. Before that was usually EY/KS1 teacher, so struggle a lot with UKS2! Been teaching for about 14 years.
Have co-ordinated loads of subjects, but now PSHCE and RE. My school has been in Special Measures for just over a year which has taken lots of my confidence away.

I have 2 little boys, one in nursery and one in Y1. Have supported newcastle united since my dad used to take me and my sis to matches as a littly, about 30 years ago.

I am 37- today!! Am in denial though coz my birth certificate must have the wrong date on coz I think I am still 21 really!

In case anyone doesn't know who I am, here's a bit about me...

I'm a KS2 Maths coordinator in a large middle school in rural SW England, teaching Yrs 5-8 Maths, having trained as as secondary Maths teacher.  I'm also a teacher governor and the person people come to with queries as I seem to know 95% of what goes on in school!

I run www.trinityeducational.co.uk with Juliateacher.

Happy birthday magpie nic - you've caught up with me today!

I'm a Y1 teacher (struggling at the moment after 12 years teaching KS2 and 3). I'm also ICT coordinator. I like thinking up ideas for other people's lessons but then I get stuck thinking up my own.

I'm married with 2 daughters aged 5 and 6.

Happy Birthday Magpie - I always imagined you as a free and easy 25 year old!
I have 4 children of my own - 3 "boys" 21 tomorrow, 18 and 15 and a girl of 13.
I teach Y6 in a jobshare with the Asst Head, so I am not convinced "share" is a good word.  I work 0.6 in class and up till the end of May I will be running Maths intervention on Thursdays.  I am Maths Subject Leader and very recently G&T.  I really enjoy working with the children I teach, but the staff...
At the moment, I am struggling with my confidence as my HT seems to delight in undermining me and making me feel useless.  I would love a new job.

I wish I was free and easy and 25 again! Would love to know why you thought that though?!!

Happy birthday to your "little" boy for tomorrow!

Know what you mean about losing confidence- I know I was a good teacher till OFSTED put us into SM, now I am not sure at all!

I'm married with 3 kids -16(girl), 15 and 11(boys). Worked in preschool aswell and lots of voluntary work in my kids old primary school. Planning to do a distance learning course with Birmingham Uni on inclusion as I'm interested in SEN.

Hi.  I'm 47, married with 3 children (21, 20 and 17).  I work part-time theoretically (about 0.65).  I'm teaching Maths in Years 5 and 6 this year, but it's my first time doing this as I've been in Year 4 for years.  I love teaching Maths and used teach secondary Maths when I first started teaching - drifted into Primary when doing supply after giving up for a while when my children were small.
I'm Numeracy co-ordinator, CPD leader and Year 5 and 6 leader.  Really enjoy my job, but don't know how anyone manages to teach full-time as I never seem to stop even on my limited hours.

Hi, I'm dotty by name and nature. I'm 55 (aaaggghhh!!!) and having spent years on supply, I now teach Year 2 for two days a week.  I am married and am now an empty nester as my children have gone off to uni.
I am doing too much unpaid work at home at the moment.  Anybody else feeling the same?

I am Science and MFL co-ordiantor. Also do Eco- Award stuff.
I have 2 sons aged 11 and 8.
I love teaching but wish there wasn't all the other 'stuff' to do !

I have a Y4 class and am also Assistant Head at a largish junior school.
I have two sons aged 22 and 10. We are all keen football supporters and have little time to do anything else because of school stuff.
