SLEEP! I have to be the world's worst sleeper. Can't remember the last time I had a full nights sleep, and tonight I am on one of my no sleep at all nights. Been like this since I was young - toddler - and no matter how tired I am, what I do to try to sleep, I don't. Made worse by OH who gets into bed every night and crashes straight out. He never knows when I have got up, put the light on to read, listened to music... 2.50 a.m. on Wednesday morning and I am on here browsing... and looking for sympathy really. No rhyme or reason as to why I don't sleep, not got anything much on my mind apart from usual never-ending list of things to do. Oh well, hope you all had a good nights sleep!  Sad

Sorry you can't sleep. I find that reading when I get into bed puts me straight to sleep but if I wake up and read then i can read all night. Very annoying whe n I know I need to bwe on the ball the next day.  on the grow your own drugs bbc programme they made a sleep pillow which some people said was effective. It might have had tobacco leaves in it? That can't be right surely. also lavender.

Poor you.  I don't know what I'd do without a good night's sleep most nights - tired enough as it is.  Hope you find a remedy before too long.

Hope you've managed to get through the day OK emadam. It must be awful for you. I suppose you've tried all the natural remedies.
A friend uses Night Nurse when she has problems sleeping. I occasionally take half a sleeping tablet but only because I can just buy them from the chemists here without a prescription.
I've stopped drinking coffee in the afternoon/evenings and read somewhere that looking at a puter screen before bed isn't good so I've cut down on that and it does seem to help.
Hope you manage some sleep tonight.

Poor you. I can sympathise - I was so sleep deprived when baby rubba arrived - but I have no idea how you cope when it is permanently ongoing. Have you been to your doctor about it? Hope you manage to get some tonight.

Oh no emadam- me too! I hardly slept last night- couldn't settle but probably because I worked too late and I couldn't unwind.

So tired tonight and have an awful headache. Sent OH for chinese and hoping to get an early night! Hope you're ok xxx

Thanks all, got through the day... just! I am soooo tired. Hopefully, tonight I will at least get a couple of hours. Talk of walking like the dead! Nicola - hope you enjoy the Chinese, relax, get rid of the headache and sleep. DON'T work too late!

I don't drink tea or coffee, but I do take a sleeping tablet on a Sunday night - from the doctor. Have done since I was 15. I still don't sleep through though, usually wake up about three times. Don't ever take one on any other night as I don't like taking them.
