I know of people who have moved up the pay scale quicker, as in moving from M2 to M4 when moving to a new school.

Just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to move up the pay scale more than the usual one point when you're in the same school!?!

Weird question, I know that, but just wondering!

Thanks  Smile

Yes in theory, but it's exceptionally rare.

Your bosses thinking you are beyond wonderful!  My line manager asked for me to be put up an extra point a few years ago, his bosses agreed I was doing a fab job, but they couldn't put me up extra.  It's at the discretion of the school, there are no rules regulating it as it doesn't have to happen!

Can you double jump? Yes

How often? Hardly ever!

Why? Budget! An incremental point on your salary might be £2K to you but amounts to about £4K for the school, so a double jump would be £8K.
