Last night I was sitting in the opening night of A Christmas Carol 3D - Disney's new film with Jim Carrey voicing many characters.
It was the last screening of the evening - 9.20pm!!!
There were 10 of us altogether in the screen.
I saw snow float down before my very eyes, felt the spit from Jacob Marley's face trickle and flew with the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.
I am off to see it again next week.
If you love Christmas and want to see a really magical film, then go and watch Disney's A Christmas Carol in 3D _________________ Opera Diva

My mum and I also have a traditional Christmas eve trip to the cinema, love it! It's normally full of kids with dads!
Reckon I'll be off to see where the wild things are this year.
The last couple of years have been Narnia, Enchanted, Eragon etc, real family fantasy films! _________________ Love the job, hate the paperwork! |

I am going again on Wednesday.
I wonder how long it will stay at the cinema?
It will make the most wonderful enhancement for Charles Dickens literacy work. It is the closest to the book I have seen and I love the Alisatir Sim version.
Has anyone ever bought a DVD in 3D of a film and found it works at home? _________________ Opera Diva

Robert Zemeckis is the director. He did The Polar Express which I loved.
Christmas normally starts for me in December too, but having seen a trailer for this film it was a must for me.
You fly over London. It has truly struck a chord with me - quite amazing. _________________ Opera Diva

I'm goin to watch it nearer the time to get all chrismassy. What kind of age range would you suggest it would be aimed at?
The 3D DVDS - you get 4 pairs of cardboard gallses with them usually but if you get them from the cinema - either through the paying rate or some cinemas you pay more & they are then included, these glasses work at home. |

Some parts are quite scary and I jumped and nearly wet myself on a couple of occasions!!!!
Children watch so many things these days I think they would cope.
It is PG and labelled with scary scenes and images.
Ignorance and Want are scary as well as Marley's Ghost.
The animation is incredible.
Sneaky peek!!!!!

A Christmas Carol is one of my all time favourites. I don't own a copy of the book, but have a audio version (not very well read) and several film adaptations. Alister Simm is my favourite, but am quite impressed by the Muppet version too!
Will certainly make a point of going to see this - thanks for mentioning it! |
